The Monaco Grand Prix is the jewel in the Formula 1 calendar, it’s one of the most iconic racing events in the world, and one of the best luxury F1 events. But as you might expect, the cost of the Monaco Grand Prix is very high.

In terms of luxury F1 events, it is easily the most expensive, as the rich and famous pour into the principality to watch the best in the world do battle on the famous streets.

It is little surprise that there are some epic road cars on show alongside the race cars.

But what is the real cost of the Monaco Grand Prix, and is it still the most expensive weekend of the year? This Supercar Blondie Monaco guide will reveal all.

The ticket supply plays a key role in driving up the cost of the F1 event.

Many Grand Prix have multiple grandstands at purpose-built racetracks.

But given how tight Monaco’s streets are, that isn’t exactly possible.

As such, there are roughly 37,000 grandstand seats available, versus the 100,000+ at a venue such as Silverstone or Spa.

With lower supply, demand is higher, and this drives up the cost.

A look at the GP’s website reveals this, with a ticket in Grandstand B costing up to €1,100 or roughly $1,250.

Plus, various VIP packages further drive up the cost.

The ‘Platinum VIP terraces’ package will cost you around $4,000, and a trackside experience will cost roughly $2,700.

Adding to the overall cost is the location of Monaco itself.

The principality has always been known as a ‘billionaire’s playground.’

Aside from the actual F1 event, there is a VIP lifestyle in Monaco, with expensive shops, luxury supercars, and a jet-set lifestyle. Although amusingly, Monaco does still have a McDonald’s!

So with the general price of everything in Monaco, it is little wonder the cost of the Monaco Grand Prix is so high.

Monaco is currently the world’s most expensive city, surpassing even New York.

The average real estate price is currently at $27,500 per square meter.

With its reputation for glitz and glamor, it’s perhaps no surprise that celebrities from all around the world flock to the event every year.

The likes of Michael Fasbender, Tom Brady, Nicole Scherzinger, Ron Howard, and Tom Cruise have all been spotted in Monaco over the years.

However, aside from the glamor and the money, Monaco itself is a fantastic spot for the F1.

Just watch the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix qualifying highlights on YouTube to see how amazing it is.

Monaco is home to one of the most spectacular luxury F1 events and hosts arguably one of the most expensive weekends on the calendar.

Whether you are going for an unofficial’ Supercar weekend in Monaco,’ or the Grand Prix, the event is spectacular but expensive.

But as we have hopefully shown in our Supercar Blondie Monaco guide, Formula 1 in Monaco is a spectacle not to be missed.
