When they opened the trunk, they found something totally unexpected – a family of mice.

As soon as they pulled off the cloth, the small mice ran away with their mother – a big surprise for the guys, and the trunk smelled awful.

This car, once a symbol of luxury, was now dusty and rusty, far from its original glory.

YouTube channel Junkyard Digs shared the whole story.

The Lincoln Continental was in rough shape, completely worn down by time.

The car was covered in dust, with faded paint, rusted brakes, and a damaged radiator.

While the interior was in decent shape, the engine and fuel system needed major repairs.

While there was still hope to restore it, the guys knew it wouldn’t be easy.

The car can still be restored

To start with, the car was taken out of the garage and that’s when they first opened the truck, only to say hello to a family of mice.

Of course, it’s not the first time that abandoned cars have surprised us.

A car found in a barn had a broken piece of shotgun on the bonnet.

The mice had even chewed several important components and wires, making the restoration more challenging.

A new battery was added, the fuel was changed, and the stuck brakes were fixed as well.

After a lot of effort, the engine finally started, but the car released a thick cloud of smoke. However, their biggest challenge was over – starting the car once again, after years of abandonment.

Although the car isn’t fully restored yet, it’s back on the road once again.

Once fully revived, it’s sure to turn heads, just like it did in its glory days.
