The Tesla Cybertruck might be best known for being a hefty pickup with unrivaled power, but after seeing its top speed in drag race conditions, it might be time to start considering it as a track star too.

But now, speed might resonate with the Cybertruck, as its top speed on a drag strip is extraordinary.

Tesla Cybertruck impressive top speed showcased on drag strip
Having become the behemoth master of tug-of-war, clowning the likes of a turbo-charged Dodge Ram and even a military-grade Humvee, the Cybertruck has been quite the fan favorite.
But the EV is now showing up on drag races.
Thanks to YouTube team DragTimes, the Tesla Cybertruck has been put through its paces.
This particular car is the 600HP dual-motor foundation edition, which was brand-new, except for a few trips around the block in transportation.
But we’ve all seen one before. They’re boxy, straight, and weird. What we’re all here for is its speed.
Put through a performance test by the driver, DragTimes recorded just how quickly it does reach its top speed of 114mph – and, it’s incredibly fast.
The test saw the Cybertruck leave the mark without a ‘rollout’, and stormed into 60mph in just four seconds.
It soon sped off into the distance, hitting its top speed at almost the exact same time that it surpassed the quarter-mile time.
It took just 12:42 to reach the finish line and tapped out at its top speed less than a second later.
The channel has also given the Cybertruck a run out against some competitors in an all-yellow Lamborghini run, which threw up some interesting results against an Aventador and Revuelto.
