This Florida YouTuber, who had previously bought Elvis’ plane, has bought the private jet of the second man to step onto the Moon.
YouTuber Jimmys World got ahold of Buzz Aldrin’s abandoned plane and purchased it for $41,000.
Which is a great price considering a) it’s a private jet and b) Buzz Aldrin owned it.

Buying the abandoned plane of the second person to walk on the Moon
If there’s anyone who loves themselves a plane project, it’s Jimmy Webb – also known as Jimmys World.
In the past, we’ve seen him take on a multitude of projects, including a Piper PA-23 and a Boeing 737.
Perhaps his most memorable undertaking was Elvis Presley’s jet.
Yep, you read that right.
The King of Rock and Roll himself.
Jimmys World put a lot of work turning it into a RV and he had some regrets about the project at the tail-end of it.
His latest endeavor is in a similar vein.
After all, Elvis was popular in the 1960s right?
In a similar vein, people were pretty hyped about astronauts walking on the Moon during that period.
And that’s where Buzz Aldrin comes into the picture.
The astronaut was the second person to walk on the Moon, following in the footsteps of Neil Armstrong.
Well, when he wasn’t out in space, he apparently enjoyed jet-setting as his private plane proved.
It was going for auction online, and Jimmy was anxious to be the winning bidder.
What sort of state was the private jet in?
Aldrin’s plane of choice was the Learjet 23, with six-to-eight seats onboard.
First brought out in 1964, they were produced until 1966, by which point 101 aircraft had been delivered.
The markings of Aldrin were all over this place – his signature was right by the cockpit.
NASA’s emblems were also plastered onto the plane too.
Whilst inspecting the plane up close, Jimmy noted that the engines were still intact, albeit surrounded by some rust and sand.
The latter of which ‘isn’t a good sign’, according to Jimmy.
How were things looking on the inside?
It’s pretty snug, we’ll say that much.
Jimmy commented: “Could use a little work…but that’s fine.
“It’s Jimmys World…that’s what we do.”
The cockpit was especially tight, with Jimmy’s knees basically pressed against the control panel.
But despite the space issue – no pun intended – Jimmy still wanted to put in a bid when the auction rolled around.
It was a tense process, as auctions usually are.
In the end, he secured it for $41,000.
