You’ve heard of a runaway bride, but this Florida woman might have become the first running-to bride after flooring her Tesla in a desperate dash to her own wedding.

Well, this woman took a leaf out of that backward book of advice and was caught speeding down a Florida highway after being late for her own wedding.
Thankfully, there wasn’t a pair of handcuffs to match her dress.

Florida bride in Tesla pulled over for speeding after being late to her own wedding
Last summer we saw a range of guests turn up to a multi-million dollar wedding in style – Justin Bieber was just one of the guests who rolled up in a convoy of elaborate Range Rovers.
But few people can stage weddings like that.
Instead, this Florida woman changed the warm white ambiance lighting of a pristine chapel for the red and blue of a cop siren.
Despite being 12 minutes late and still needing to get to the next town over, a man was pulled over by Port St. Lucie officers after clocking 105MPH in his Tesla.

Driving with the bride as a guest in the passenger seat, the woman revealed that the ceremony was at 2:30pm, but bodycam footage showcased a time stamp of 2:42.
The man needed to get her to the next town over before the ceremony was canceled.
The unmarked unit pulled him over and whipped up a quick ticket to appear in court.
“The old saying goes, rain on your wedding day is good luck! Well on this sunny day, the bride’s driver now has a mandatory court date in front of a judge after speeding,” said the Port St. Lucie Police Department on Facebook

Right cop or wrong cop?
Many of the viewers were left conflicted – some praised the officer for allowing the driver to set off again in a swift fashion, while others claimed that the man should have been arrested.
Considering that we’ve seen cars get impounded for much slower speeds, such as the 76mph Bugatti Chiron that was seized, it looks like this Tesla driver has gotten off lightly.
This Hangover-styled arrival at the wedding will be a tale to tell the grandkids at least.
That is unless the groom was a stickler for punctuality – here’s hoping for a happy ending, though.
