Ferrari has announced six special-edition 296 GTBs

Unveiled in 2021, the Ferrari 296 GTB plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 with a single electric motor capable of producing a total of 818 horsepower.

If that isn’t quite powerful enough for you, check out this tuned Novitec version.

Your stock standard 296 GTB can do 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of more than 330km/h (205mph). Impressive stuff.

Ferrari

During the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix weekend – running from December 6 to 8 – Ferrari unveiled six striking new designs for the 296 GTBs.

They pay tribute to the Gulf Nations: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.

The vehicles were designed by the Special Equipment team within the Ferrari Personalization and the Color and Trim departments.

Each car has a unique customized exterior color

The ‘bold, spectacular, and visually arresting’ color palettes are all designed to highlight a specific country.

The UAE car is presented in a pearlescent white, to represent the nation’s pearl diving industry, and the Saudi Arabia vehicle is finished in a vibrant green inspired by the ‘lush beauty of its oases’.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s natural landscapes are celebrated with a metallic brown finish, and deep dark red is used to capture the ‘strength, pride, and the enduring spirit’ of the people of Qatar.

The Bahrain-inspired vehicle has a metallic black body flecked with gold – a tribute to the country’s nightscape, finally the Oman car is painted a deep metallic blue to mirror the ‘enchanting seas and coastline’ of the country.

Pulling the colorways together is a new original matte color called Arabian Golden Sheen that was specially created by the team at Ferrari to represent the reflection of sunlight on desert sands.

Inside, the cars are every bit as beautiful as outside with Beige Honolulu and Gold Metallic leather and gold embroidery.
