Formula 1 star Fernando Alonso was spotted driving his Ford GT Heritage Edition in Monaco.
The car looks spectacular, but also quite difficult to use as a daily runabout.
Then again, in a place like Monaco, spotting a Ford GT is more or less like seeing a Ford truck in Wyoming.
It just fits the background.

Fernando Alonso spotted in one of the most celeb-friendly places in Europe
The two-time world champion was spotted at night, dining out with his former manager and current Renault team advisor Flavio Briatore.
Car spotting is a national sport in Monaco, and it automatically often becomes celebrity spotting as well.
This is the place where you can see Batmobiles, one of the best-paid athletes in the world at the wheel of an ultra-rare speedster. But you can also sometimes spot Charles Leclerc riding his bicycle.
Alonso, like the vast majority of Formula 1 drivers, is a resident of Monaco. As such, he’s often seen at the wheel of his rare supercars.
This one is more expensive than most, considering the Ford GT Heritage Edition is valued at well over seven figures.
For Fernando Alonso, a man worth north of $250 million, that’s peanuts.
About the Ford GT Heritage Edition
The Heritage Edition was unveiled in 2020 as a tribute to Ford’s win at Daytona in 1966.
It’s finished in the same livery as the Daytona-winning Ford GT40, with black hood and stripes, red patches and the number 98 on both flanks.
Gold 20-inch wheels complete the package.
The engine is a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6, putting out 660HP and 550LB-FT of torque and giving the car a blistering 0-60mph time of just 2.8 seconds.
But F1 drivers famously often complain about the fact that, after driving an F1 car, every road car is slow.
Maybe Alonso might see this Ford GT as the exception.
