A family of eight converted a double-decker bus into this incredibly cool and spacious motorhome.

Dane and Deena Everly, from the US state of Texas, took on the mammoth task of turning a 2009 Van Hool TD925 double-decker bus into a luxurious pad for them and their six kids.

And it’s safe to say they absolutely smashed it.

Not only does the converted bus look the part, it’s also allowed the family to go on a huge road trip across the States.

We’ve seen some incredible motorhome conversion over the years, such as this former bread van that’s now an adorable RV; or this couple from Australia who turned an old Coca-Cola truck into their dream home.

But being a super-sized family of eight, meant that the Everly’s needed a super-sized vehicle to convert.

And a double-decker – measuring 13.7 meters (45ft) in length and at standing at four meters (13ft) high –  was the ideal candidate.

The family showed off their unusual digs on the Tiny Home Tours YouTube channel, where Dean explained that it perfectly combines the family’s need for space with their love of travel.

Offering around 42.5 square meters (458 square feet) of living space, the bus makes clever use of space and feels light and bright thanks to the huge windows.

So, what’s it like inside?

The front of the bus is a multi-use space that functions as the bus’s cockpit as well as a home office for Dean to work from.

Behind this is the kitchen, which cleverly stacks two small fridges and freezers into what would otherwise be dead space, before opening out into the fully fitted kitchen.

Decked in white and with light-wood countertops, the kitchen is a decent size and has everything you’d need to keep a family well-fed including plenty of counter space, storage, a sink, two-burner induction stove, and an oven.

The top level of the bus has a small utility area, complete with a washer and dryer.

Upstairs is also where the family sleeps, with the kids making use of six sleeping pods, with storage at the end of the bunk, and some extra closest storage at the end of the room.

Alongside the sleeping pods, there’s a spacious living area, with benches and storage space, a small table, and a king-size the couple sleep, that cleverly folds away when not in use.

The bus has two toilets – one upstairs and one downstairs – as well as a separate full-sized shower.

And it’s not over yet, because there’s also a large roof deck that the family can hang out on to stargaze.

All in all, it’s a pretty unique and cool place to live.
