The owner of a Chrysler received a surprise and was left confused after the mechanics at his local dealership suddenly asked to return one specific part of the vehicle.

The driver, Charles, took to his TikTok account to ask for advice as to what to do with his Chrysler after the dealer asked for one of the tires to be returned.

This was an unusual request despite the fact the work done to his car had nothing to do with the tires.

In fact, it would appear the dealer gave Charles the wrong tire after putting his car back together.

Charles’s Chrysler was in the dealership for brake work

Charles shared on his TikTok account (@lothalrebels) that he had initially brought the car in for brake work.

The video shows some close-ups of his Chrysler, although he does admit to knowing nothing about cars, hence his confusion.

A few days after he picked the car up, the dealership called and asked if one of the tires on the car was different.

It would appear they had given Charles the wrong tire and needed to reunite it with its original owner.

Charles was baffled by the request, and it was unclear how the wrong tire ended up on the wrong car.

Charles asked other TikTok users for their advice, asking: “Just wondering how common this is?”

Several other TikTok users responded to Charles’s video, which led to some unusual dealership stories.

One owner of a Chevrolet Camaro stated that after they took it in for service, she received a call to say that the muscle car had been smashed.

Other owners admitted to having weird dealership issues

Responding to Charles’s question about tires, she said: “No, but I had a call from the dealership telling me they crashed my Camaro.”

The owner said they had taken it in for an oil change and showroom cleaning detail, only to find out they had somehow crashed her car.

While that is on the extreme end of the scale, other owners have had their own problems.

Many who responded said that if the dealer was flat out with work, it could easily happen that the wrong tire goes onto the wrong car.

Other users said to always check the vehicle after it has been in the garage. In another extreme case, an owner checked the car after they had paid for the work, only to find out an entire side panel was missing.

Proving that not all dealers themselves check the cars before they say they are finished.
