Meet the man behind ND – Woodworking Art, a YouTuber who has a reputation for building cars and unusual vehicles out of wood.
What’s more — most of his creations aren’t just decorative art projects but are instead working models.
Apart from that, they look absolutely incredible in person.
The star of today’s show is a time machine car, which is a fairly new concept for the YouTuber, as he showed in a video on the channel.
That’s because the ‘original’ design of the car came straight out of AI.
Now, it certainly looks rather odd — because it doesn’t look anything like a regular car.
If your mind went right to the DeLorean DMC-12 after thinking about time machines and cars, you might be wrong on this one.
It not only doesn’t look like a DeLorean but is also hard to compare to any other road-legal vehicle.
Carving the vehicle out of wood
The video showed him beginning the build with a sheet metal frame and carving the exterior out of wood.
Part by part, it showed him creating giant wheels for a rather tiny vehicle.
The vehicle was also a trike with three wheels, so the time machine car that AI thought of certainly looked unusual.
After its two huge rear wheels were ready, the man started working on carving the curved body.
It looked quite subtle at first, but then he carved out a gear mechanism that eventually sat where the engine would be seen.
Moreover, the gear mechanism was functional and undoubtedly added more appeal to this unusual vehicle.
It’s safe to say the end product was quite the looker and a work of art.
The details, the precision, and the overall appeal made it look like it would travel to a different time, but only a few years or so.
If anything, building the time machine car was an interesting watch, to say the least.
