The Jetour Shanhai L7 Plus is a more advanced version of the Shanhai L7, released by Jetour back in September 2024.
Building on its predecessor, the L7 Plus pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor and a 32.7 kWh battery pack.
This is just the latest chapter in the meteoric growth of Jetour in recent years.

The Shanhai L7 Plus is an extension of the Shanhai L7, which launched in September 2024.
At the time, the L7 received a lot of praise for its performance, efficiency, and advanced technology.
The L7 Plus looks to join together a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor and a 32.7 kWh battery pack.
This system delivers a combined output of 355 HP and is capable of an impressive 932-mile range.
137 miles of that range is electric-only driving.
This Chinese hybrid EV is expected to enter the market in the second half of August 2025, with families and long-distance travelers being key target demographics.
As far as looks go, what sets the L7 Plus apart from the cars that came before it is the redesigned headlights and taillights, giving it a more modernized look.
Chinese EVs are on the up
EVs are on the rise everywhere you look, especially those coming out of China.
Whether it’s the rapid growth of BYD or the dark horse that is Li Auto, the country is making a mark within the market.
Hybrids are also increasingly popular within the country, with cars like the Li Xiang L7 Max Hybrid SUV being compared favorably to Range Rover’s output.
And Jetour isn’t looking to be left out either.
The company has seen huge growth in recent years, delivering 568,000 vehicles last year, with an aim to send out 800,000 this year.
It’s hoped that it will expand into European markets this year, bypassing EU tariffs that are applied to fully electric vehicles.
The company is expecting its international sales to match or surpass its domestic sales within the next three to five years, Reuters reported.
Its current line-up includes urban and off-road SUVs ranging in price from $10,000 to over $50,000.
A fully electric car is set to arrive by the end of 2026.
