This partnership between Chery Automotive and AiMOGA marks a shift in how technology can influence the customer experience.

These Chinese robots are not simple displays – they are designed to move, speak, and interact with customers in real time.

The humanoid robots function like human sales reps and are intended to make car buying feel futuristic and efficient.

Chery Automotive introduces humanoid robots to buyers

During the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Chery Automotive showcased its humanoid robots in front of the media and dealers.

The highlight was Mornine, a humanoid robot designed by AiMOGA and dressed to resemble a friendly assistant.

With a synthetic blonde ponytail and dark sunglasses, she stood beside Chery Automotive executives and helped present the brand’s latest models.

Chery Automotive president Zhang Guibing shared his belief that these Chinese robots may become even more important to the company than the vehicles themselves.

Priced similarly to an entry-level model, Mornine has already begun a trial run in a Malaysian dealership.

AiMOGA powers Chinese robots with real-world functionality

AiMOGA worked closely with Chery Automotive to ensure the humanoid robots could be used effectively in retail settings.

The Chinese robots are equipped with surround-view vision, voice-response systems, and articulated hands that can serve drinks or point to vehicle features.

AiMOGA designed Mornine with practical abilities in mind.

She is not only able to assist with customer questions but also navigate the showroom independently.

Chery Automotive has confirmed it plans to deliver 220 of these humanoid robots to dealerships around the world by the end of the year.

Chinese robots will not replace human teams just yet

Although Chinese robots are entering the showroom floor, Chery Automotive says they are intended to support, not replace, human staff.

Mornine and other humanoid robots built by AiMOGA are meant to handle simple customer interactions, easing the load on human salespeople.

Customers have responded with a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

Some see these humanoid robots as marketing tools, while others believe they could represent the future of automotive retail.

Either way, the involvement of AiMOGA and Chery Automotive is pushing the boundaries of traditional dealership service.

Chinese robots signal a bold future for dealerships

Chery Automotive is embracing Chinese robots and humanoid robots as part of its long-term strategy.

With support from AiMOGA, the company is experimenting with new ways to engage potential buyers and modernize the showroom environment.

These humanoid robots are already proving to be more than just a novelty.

If customer feedback continues to be positive, Chinese robots could become a regular part of the car-buying process in markets far beyond China.
