Chevrolet Corvette lost $20,000 in value in just 4,000 miles due to what the owner did to it

It takes a lot to make a Chevrolet Corvette look unappealing.

But this owner really managed to do so.

After purchasing the future classic for $92,550, he got a series of modifications done.

Now, with less than 5,000 miles on the clock, the Stingray is for sale at a significantly lower price.

The current C8 Corvette marks a milestone in the model’s history thanks to its mid-engine layout.

With its aggressive silhouette, angular lines, and side scoops, this is an undeniably cool-looking car.

Plus it’s powerful to match, blending raw V8 power with supercar specs.

No wonder Florida police traded in their patrol cars for a seized Corvette.

One owner splashed out $92,550 on his, then tried to improve on perfection.

Now, he’s ready to sell, but it’s been devalued by a whopping $20,000.

Given it’s only done 4,693 miles, is there anyone to blame but the owner and his questionable taste?

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has a red paint job, set off by yellow racing stripes.

This bold shade of yellow can also be found in the brake callipers and the seat belts.

Inside, the customization continues, with bright blue accents added throughout.

Of course, whether or not this mod is a bad one is subjective, but the comments section seems to think so.

Plus there’s that slashed price tag.

Worse still, the owner paid a $595 colour combination override fee to Chevrolet, since this wild combo isn’t normally offered.

He spent $995 on the yellow stripes, $995 on the red paint, and $595 on those callipers.

Now, the Chevrolet Corvette is available for $72,950.

A hard sell considering a new one without the iffy mods has ticket price of $68,300.

Once it was posted on the Worst Spec Instagram page, the reactions came flooding in.

“Looks like a Lego Duplo set,” one commenter said.

“The very rare McDonald’s/IKEA combo spec!” another commenter said.

If nothing else, it’s definitely a one-off!
