This is the Brabus Rocket GTS, a convertible transformed into a shooting brake.
With this car, Brabus has done the unthinkable and turned a convertible into a something completely different.
Even though it’s based on the SL, it looks nothing like it.
It’s more powerful too, thanks to the Brabus treatment.
It now makes almost 1,000 horsepower.

How the Brabus Rocket GTS was created
Brabus took a ‘standard’ Mercedes-AMG SL63 S E Performance and, for reasons that are unclear, decided to turn it into a shooting brake.
They could’ve done the same thing using other Mercedes models as a starting platform, but we know how Brabus operates.
So we should probably not be surprised.
The German tuning firm also gave its convertible-turned-shooting brake a carbon fiber body, carbon fiber spoiler, fenders and also a carbon fiber skirts.
They also added more power, and the 4.4-liter V8 that powers it now produces 1,000PS, equivalent to 987 horsepower.
The top speed is electronically limited to 197mph (317km/h), but 0-60mph only takes 2.7 seconds.
There’s no mention of pricing or availability, but Brabus did say production of the vehicle will be ‘limited’.
As for the price tag, the regular Mercedes-AMG SL63 starts at around $200,000, so we should probably at least double or maybe even triple that price for the Brabus model.
When Brabus does Brabus things
Brabus has a long track record of incredible and sometimes indecipherable vehicles.
They’ve created four-door sedans with 1,000+ horsepowers as well as a doorless, doorless G-Wagen.
They’ve also made boats.
A while back, Brabus unveiled a speedboat, which makes sense because, at the time of the day, a Brabus customer is also a person that’s likely to buy a Brabus boat.
