This clever Bentley employee in Florida spray-painted the hood of a car and then set it on fire – to prove a point.

The incident occurred on the shop floor of a Bentley store in the Sunshine State.

As the events unfolded, the manager could be seen breaking a sweat.

But what happened next?

Bentleys are the epitome of luxury

These cars are known for ferrying the rich and famous around in style and it’s clear to see why.

In fact, did you know that the Sultan of Brunei once single-handedly purchased more than half the cars Bentley produced?

Plus, our very own Alex Hirschi, AKA Supercar Blondie, showed off the Bentley EXP 100 GT that’s a ‘fully LED’ car from the future.

But wait until you see what happened to this particular car.

In a video shared to Instagram by fe_motorworks, black paint was applied to the car in the shape of a dollar sign .

But, what happened next was certainly unexpected – it was set on fire.

Yes, that’s right, the dealership employee sent a car worth hundreds of thousands of dollars up in flames.

And the general manager just looked on in horror…

But, despite the wanton vandalism, the charring and paint wiped clean off after a bit of buffing. So you’ll be pleased to know no Bentleys were harmed in the process.

And it was all in aid of showing the effectiveness of their advanced paint protection product – according to the post’s caption.

It would have been an expensive mistake to fix if not, as a Bentley Bentayga starts at $208,050.

Imagine the service bill off the back of that!

And to be honest, we’d expect nothing less for a car of that price.

Bentley itself said that their Paint Protection Film helps prevent chipping and light scratching.

“When heat is applied, any fine scratches and swirl marks will be removed, ensuring your car’s exterior finish remains as good as it was the day it left the factory,” the website explains.

It’s only available at the point of order though as it is a ‘factory fit item’.

The employee sure did go to extreme lengths to prove her point.

Would you set something on fire to show your boss what’s what?
