Former Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, has been issued speed tickets while out in his Dodge Charger after being snapped by speed cameras he implemented.
On Wednesday, 25 June, Cuomo lost out on being the Democratic nominee for New York mayor to Zohran Mamdani.
After conceding to Mamdani, it’s unclear if Cuomo will choose to run as an independent in the mayoral election later this year.
Whether he chooses to run remains to be seen, but what we do know is that he’s run up a pile of speeding tickets.

Andrew Cuomo has been handed several tickets
The 67-year-old is a muscle car enthusiast and has been spotted darting around the Big Apple in his black Dodge Charger 392.
Cuomo moved back to New York at the start of March to kick off his mayoral campaign.
However, the move didn’t get off to a flying start for the former Governor.
A report in the New York Post claims Cuomo has been slapped with a handful of tickets for speeding, as well as one for parking in a bus lane, and failing to pay a parking meter.
He reportedly paid $365 in fines between March 6 and May 2 of this year.
According to the publication, Cuomo’s Dodge Charger received two speeding tickets a minute apart on March 28.
He was then given two more on April 27 and May 2, after being caught on camera speeding through Brooklyn school zones.
What makes the story all the more interesting is the fact that the cameras that have caught Cuomo are ones he helped to get installed in the city
Back in 2013, when he was governor, Cuomo signed the bill that put the city’s speed camera program into law.
Awkward.
An interesting car-related trend was spotted with voters
Alongside his Dodge Charger 392, which he’s been using as his daily driver, since moving back to New York, Andrew Cuomo owns numerous other muscle cars and classic.
He also owns a 1968 Pontiac GTO, a blue 1975 Corvette, a 1973 Camaro, and a 1969 Cougar.
Interestingly, Aaron Kleinman, director of research for The States Project, noticed a car-related trend when it came to which of the two Democratic candidates voters chose.
The biggest dividing line based on this map is that Cuomo did best in neighborhoods with the most people who have cars while Mamdani won among people who take the subway.

Sharing a map of the five boroughs, and which way they voted, Kleinman spotted a divide.
“The biggest dividing line based on this map is that Cuomo did best in neighborhoods with the most people who have cars, while Mamdani won among people who take the subway,” he wrote.
