From the Goodwood Festival of Speed to the Nürburgring track, there are opportunities available all over the world to view vehicles, but one of the most incredible takes place in Japan.

At the show, car fans will find machines on display in a unique way.

The official website explained:

“Yakushiji, the main temple of Hosso Buddhism, and an exemplar of the World Heritage Site ‘Historic Monuments of Ancient NARA,’ will host a collection of gorgeous classic cars of various eras from Japan and around the world.”

Known as the ‘Splendid Festival of Celebrated Cars,’ the show is said to be a symbol of traditional car culture that has evolved across the US alongside Europe, while also paying homage to history.

Plus, the dates have already been announced for 2026’s exclusive car show, commencing on April 11th and 12th.

Cars are judged, and there is an option for gearheads to display their cars by submitting an entry on Japan’s exclusive car show’s website.

The event includes a runway show and ‘magic hour’, plus the winner of Best of Show is also announced.

There is also a Gala Dinner Party for owners of cars that are exhibited.

Following the event in Japan, a six-day Tour d’Eleganza also takes place around the country. The extravaganza is set to visit Kyoto and then subsequently dominate Tokyo, too.

Car shows aren’t the only thing that Japan is dominating in the car world

In Japan, technology can be used in a variety of different sectors to enhance tons of industries.

But, in the car and energy sectors, the country is way ahead of the curve, in more ways than one.

For example, recently, Honda successfully launched its first-ever reusable rocket in a big step for Japan.

Plus, the country is even poised to make history as being the first one to transmit solar power from space to Earth – cool, right?
