A Tesla Model Y Juniper has reportedly been spotted driving through California ahead of the prototype’s release next year.

The future of Tesla cars hangs quite firmly in the balance, as the company has already begun to revolutionize the EV market with the Cybertruck and popular sedans like the Model Y.

The latter is a best-seller for Tesla and the group has teased a few new upgrades coming in 2025, with a possible brand-new ‘Juniper’ range.

Another sighting report of a Telsa Model Y Juniper has emerged, this time in California.

The new Model Y, codenamed Juniper, was first detailed back in 2023, with a release date originally penciled in for this year.

However, as Santa’s sleigh appears to be the only arrival this December, this present is likely coming down 2025’s chimney.

Taking to X, one person captured a small video of a covered-up car that resembled a Tesla Model Y and matched previously leaked images of the Juniper.

The video didn’t reveal too much, it just showcased the unreleased car casually going for a spin on the highway.

The long-range optimized Gemini Dark Wheels can also be seen, but the best thing is that the car appears to be up and road-worthy, injecting excitement into Tesla fans looking to upgrade their getting-stale Model Ys.

How will the Juniper range differ from other Tesla Model Y cars?

Much like previous sightings, such as the one in China earlier this year, the rea and bonnet were both covered or ‘camouflaged’, leaving massive hints as to what improvements will be coming to the design.

Previous leaks have claimed that the rear will have a dashing red light across the rearm, above the numberplates, which will be lowered.

However, few other changes have been detailed, as the only prototypes spotted have been covered.

The range is also set to have a six-seater Model Y for China, as other competitors have launched similar cars with a lot of success.

The Juniper model was set to be rolling out of Tesla garages this year, but it may have been pushed back as the Cybertruck production had to slow down for some speed bumps in recent months.

As the world’s best-selling car, Tesla fanatics will be hoping that the design will be revealed in early 2025 and released shortly after.
