This 1935 Chevy truck was stashed away inside an old barn for 50 years before finally being rescued.
The 1935 Chevrolet had been parked and literally gathering dust for decades in Eastern Pennsylvania.
It was eventually rescued by the team from the Iron City Garage YouTube channel, who were keen to find out if it would still run.
But with so long off the road, how likely was it that the old truck would ever hit the road again?

The abandoned Chevy truck spent decades in an old barn
While any old car being rescued is great to see, there’s something particularly special when it’s a super-old model, such as this 1935 Chevy Coupe that took 10,000 hours to bring to life or this 1935 Chrysler that was found hidden away in a bedroom.
Last month, the team from Iron City Garage shared a clip of an equally as old Chevy truck.
The Chevrolet was quite a rare find, the automaker produced just under 56,500 examples during 1935, but many of these have been smashed, crashed, lost, or left rot during the intervening years.
This one in Pennsylvania hadn’t suffered such a fate, but it was in need of some serious TLC.
The previous owner of the Chevy had used it until the 1970s, after which he placed it safely inside a barn, closed the doors, and left it there.
Fast-forward 50 or so years, and the Chevy was given its first glimpse of daylight in a very long time.
The truck was almost all-original and complete
Incredibly, despite being a whopping 90 years old, the vintage truck is almost entirely original and complete.
This includes its original inline-six engine and its original mechanical brakes. How cool is that?
Overall, the Chevy isn’t in particularly bad shape – sure it needs a deep clean, its paintwork needs a refresh and the interiors need to be completely overhauled.
But, after giving that original engine a clean-up, the guys from Iron City Garage were able to turn it over.
So it seems there could still be plenty of life in this old truck and it’s already managed to find itself a new owner, meaning that a full-restoration could be on the cards in the near future.
