Silas, host of the YouTube channel Adventures Made From Scratch, described the find as one of his favorite videos.

The cars aren’t exactly showroom fresh, as you might expect.

But they’re still cool finds.

Exploring an abandoned farm of antique cars

There’s something about finding cars on abandoned farm land that feels so authentic.

These aren’t cars dolled up for a showroom.

What you see is just what you get after they’ve sitting out in the open.

As such, the state they’re in can vary wildly.

If neglected, like in this UK example, they can accumulate some rust.

And that’s if the plants don’t get to them first.

But cars left on farms aren’t always in such a bad way – like this F1 car.

So what conditions would Silas be met with while exploring his newly acquired farm?

‘Incomplete’ would be a good word to describe the cars littered around the farmland.

Doors are missing and the wheels are long gone.

“These have been here my whole life and then some, and I’m 31,” Silas commented.

The word ‘neat’ comes up a lot in the video.

What can be done with these cars?

It’d be hard to put a number on how many cars were retired on the land, but it’s easily reaching up into the 50s.

Chevys appear to be the most common car, but others feature too.

Fords, Buicks, and Dodges also appear quite frequently throughout the walk-around.

Although Silas designated some cars as being not worth the hassle to try and fix, others didn’t look like they’d need quite as much work.

“We’re not going to come in and crush a lot of this, I wouldn’t feel right,” he said.

“We’re going to save a lot of the stuff. We’re not going to crush these old cars.”

The work that would need to be undertaken to fix some of these cars would be quite immense.

But for a classic, it’s worth it, right?
