Despite the car’s shabby appearance, it still runs like a dream.

The engine is a mighty 1.8 liters, but don’t let that put you off.

As the expert says, he simply wouldn’t part with the vehicle.

The penny-pinching purchase cost less than an iced coffee, but after consulting expert Scottie Kilmer, it seems more than worth that modest outlay.

They bought the car for just $2 and – although there are a few qualities that aren’t the most streamlined – the car is still a dream.

The car expert – who you can follow at @scottykilmer.car – checked out the absolute steal and said: “Yes, it makes noise.

“And the mirror is duct taped on because it hit the side of the garage. The license plate is bolted on with pliers.

“And to top it off it has a minion paint job on it. But when you look under the minion, there’s a Toyota Corolla engine.

“1.8 liters, can last forever – I’d never get rid of it.”

More up-to-date versions of the car have been praised online, too, proving quality is carried through advancements of the Corolla.

The 2025 Toyota Corolla starts at $23,310 and boasts a whole load of attractive family car attributes.

In fact, one expert gave the car eight out of ten stars.

It’s choice of engine has been praised, with the option of a 1.8 or 2.0 litre being on display.

It’s also been describe as an enjoyable drive and inexpensive to run- putting it in the running to be a firm family favourite across many households.

So, keep an eye out for cheap bangers – as snapping one up could leave you feeling content for years.
