You’ve heard of snakes on a plane, but this Saudi prince has swapped fangs for talons and booked 80 tickets for an Airbus plane to take his falcons on a flight of a lifetime.

Birds are natural fliers, and the falcon is one of the most powerful animals in the sky.

But having wings of their own capable of hitting 200mph, they can’t quite make a trip from Doncaster, UK, to Saudi Arabia in the space of a few hours.

Or, can they? With first-class tickets on a plane and a passport each, these falcon hawks have been pictured enjoying the comfort of a film or two in the middle aisles of a seven-hour flight.

The Saudi royal family is no stranger to a bit of fishing and birdspotting.

So much so that one Sheikh has filled out an Airbus plane for his avian freinds.

With the falcon being a symbol of power and vision in Saudi Arabia, back in 2017, a prince bought 80 tickets to escort his new birds back home.

The birds were pictured wearing hats, all sitting on boxes in a fashionable order. Taking up nearly 30 rows of seats in the middle aisle, they joined human passengers seated in the window aisles.

Post on Reddit, a friend of the pilot circulated the image, where the falcons’ little hats steal the show.

The falcons were being taken to Jeddah to live a life of luxury and compete in races.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum was the falconry advocate on this occasion, who has a love for many animals from horses, birds, and fish.

Falcons are actually common customers on Qatar Airways, often holding four tickets on the planes. Just scarcely in such numbers.

This particular flight was a job well done, though, and the original owner was reportedly paid handsomely with wheels and watches.

Speaking to The Guardian, Bryn Close said the Saudi Prince gave him a Range Rover and a Rolex.

“I sold the Range Rover out there because it was left-hand drive,” he confessed.

The Saudi royal family shed no expense when it comes to cars, whether it’s gold-plated Mercedes and Lamborghinis, or multi-million dollar Veneno supercars.
