Owning a supercar like a Lamborghini carries a lot of costs, whether it be a Huracán or an Urus.

When purchasing, you have to bear in mind that a lot will factor into costs – whether that be maintenance, insurance, or just the expenses that come with daily driving.

If you take a Lamborghini Huracán as an example, you can see how quickly figures start to stack up.

And the Urus is in a similar zone of expense.

The costs of owning a Lamborghini supercar

When it first came out in 2019, the MSRP (Manfuacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) for a Huracán was well north of $200k.

If you were looking to buy one now, you could pay anything between $175k and $220k.

Lamborghini

Obviously, this car has held up well over the past six years.

But it’s not only purchasing it that you and your bank account will have to bear in mind.

Insurance

No driver likes thinking about insurance costs, but it’s a necessary expense.

Over five years, you can expect to pay around $42,500 to insure a Huracán, which works out at around $8,500 a year.

This isn’t too dissimilar to other supercars.

Lamborghini

Why is a Huracán so pricey to insure?

Because of the powerful V10s sitting inside of them, it’s assumed that these fast cars are just a higher risk.

Daily driving and fuel

And speaking of the V10s, they’ll need $20,000 worth of fuel over those five years too.

See what we meant by those numbers adding up quickly?

The Urus costs more than $250,000, so it’s definitely on the pricier end as far as MSRP.

One YouTuber found himself paying $110 for a full tank of gas, which is a lot even in these times of rising gas prices.

Lamborghini

If we were to estimate that the Urus gets a full tank once a week, that’s $5,720 a year on gas.

Over the same five year stretch as the Huracán, that’s $28,600.

Maintenance of a Lamborghini

Maintenance costs won’t come cheaply either, at an estimated $21,603 between 2019 and 2024, as estimated by caredge.

All in all, owning a Huracán will cost its owner around $257,070 over the course of five years.

Supercars, they don’t come cheap.

But if you have the cash, they sure are worth it.

Koenigseggs have also proven expensive, depending on the brand.

Here are the estimated Lamborghini 2025 prices based on recent sales:

Revuelto – $585,340

Temerario – $290,000

Huracán Sterrato – $283,467

Huracán STO Spyder – $348,773
