This New Zealand man was left besides himself with excitement when he realized that the car parked next to him was the same exact make and had a near identical license plate.
The plates were only off by one number.
When Liam Boyne made this discovery in the parking lot of his grocery store, he had to take a picture and share it online.
Suffice to say, the internet was delighted and shocked in equal measure.

The license plates that could have been identical
Liam Boyne shared a snap of the cars to a Facebook group called ‘Dull Men’s Club’.
In the accompanying post, he wrote: “I got super excited and don’t know where else to post.
“Parked in the supermarket. Came back 30 minutes later and the car on the right was parked next to me.
“Same car. Same colour. One number off.”
Whilst Boyne’s license plate reads ‘LPP 567’, the other car reads ‘LPP 568’.
Both cars are blue Mazda 2s.
Whether or not Boyne hung around to meet the owner of the other car isn’t clear, but how could you pass up that opportunity?
It sounds like the set up to an episode of The Twilight Zone.
How the internet reacted to this extraordinary sighting
Despite being posted to a group designated for dull men, people online were anything but bored by this peculiar coincidence.
One commenter spoke for many when she wrote: “There’s nothing dull about this.”
Another echoed the sentiment: “Wtf, one in a million! Nothing dull about that. I once saw two private number plates on a motorway, not related to each other with one letter different.”
Other Facebook users began to speculating on further links between the two cars.

“Imagine if the other drive came out and looked like you,” one person wrote.
There were others suggesting the cars could be a ‘Mr and Mrs’ set, which isn’t the worst business idea in the world.
“This feels like a glitch in the Matrix,” another remarked.
One person asked: “Did you leave it a note?”
That could have been the start of a very random friendship.
Despite not taking up a ton of room on a car, a license plate can mean a whole lot.
Leaving aside the fact they’re legally required – as New York officials have been at pains to remind people despite a Ghost Car epidemic – personalized plates are a big selling point.
And they sure can fetch a lot of money.
One of the rarest in the US sold for a whopping $34,000, although it had been issued in 1904 to be fair.
So as far as historical items go, its price was par for the course.
On the more practical side, you have the B plate in the UK.
Drivers who are bad at parking can use this in an attempt to signal to other road users that they need to exercise some patience.
The extent to which that is successful remains to be seen.
