This man bought an abandoned 1962 Chevy Corvette that has been sitting in the same place for over 14 years somewhere in Florida.
The American muscle car was bought by Classic car expert Dennis Collins, who flew to Florida to check out the car.
He was quite surprised when inspected it properly.
Unfortunately, the car was just an empty shell filled with insects and rodents.

1962 Chevy Corvette parked for 14 years
Collins found out about this abandoned 1962 Chevy Corvette from a phone call.
However, when he got there the car was in quite a bad state, as seen in his video.
The owner of the car passed away in 2013 after building a wooden enclosure for the car, sometime between 2009 and 2013.
However, It didn’t protect the Chevy Corvette against the elements as it didn’t have a roof or a concrete floor.

Fortunately, even after seeing the state of the car Collins was willing to pay the full price for the rusty old Chevy.
He knew that after restoring the car, it would be worth the effort cause the average price for a 1962 Chevy Corvette is quite a lot.
However, the car was just a shell without most of its parts.
Thankfully, the family had stored the parts in a barn, one on top of another.
Missing parts and engine
Collins found the engine, radiator, headlights, gauges, and radio in the barn.
He also found the windshield which was somehow on the roof of the barn.
Unfortunately, when he looked at the engine he realized that it was not a Corvette engine.
The 1962 Chevy Corvette had a 5.3-liter V8 that generated 250 horsepower.
Collins was also surprised to see the trunk was infested with huge cockroaches.
However, he still planned to take it back to his shop to restore it or sell it.
