This incredible Monster Chopper is a real work of engineering genius – but it was quick to attract the attention of Idaho police while out for a spin.
Created by the team from Grind Hard Plumbing Co. the beefed-up bike is quite unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
As you may have guessed from the name, the ‘Monster Chopper’ is essentially a motorcycle that has been fitted with the sort of wheels you’d seen on a monster truck.
And that’s not the only thing that makes it special, because Grind Hard Plumbing pretty much custom-built the entire bike.

The wild-looking Monster Chopper is a true one-off
The super-sized job involved custom-building the Monster Chopper’s frame, the front end, its steering system, the gas tank, the rear swing arm, and… well you get the idea.
The chopper has been fitted with a KTM Adventure 1190cc motor that produces 150 horsepower.
Oh and in case you’re wondering about those wheels, they’re 46-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claw off-road tires – not too dissimilar to those used by the the man who made his own Lincoln/Monster Truck/Limo.
The chopper also benefits from a custom gear reduction setup, that increase the torque to about 3,000 lb-ft.
More recently, the team rebuilt the rear hub to handle the torque and geared the bike higher to give it more speed.
All in all, it’s a pretty head-turning vehicle, right?
The bike caught the attention of cops
So much so, that it – perhaps unsurprisingly – caught the attention of cops in Idaho while out on a test drive.
Two Idaho State Police officers stopped the vehicle and got out of their patrol car for a better look.
But it seems they were merely content with admiring the car, as they whipped out their phones and took a few snaps.
The unusual run-in even ended up on the Idaho State Police Facebook page, where the force thanked Grind Hard Plumbing for ‘taking the time to show us your unique creation’.
“You never know what you’ll see on Idaho’s roads,” the post read.
“For Idaho State Police troopers, every day is different, but one thing stays the same—the amazing people in our communities.
“We had a great time running into Grind Hard Plumbing Co! Thanks for taking the time to show us your unique creation!”
Well, it’s not hard to see why they were impressed, is it?
